Oneplus 9 Software Update:

Oneplus has released a major OTA patch or Hotfix for Oneplus 9 with C.44 Build, in the month of January 2022. After the release of Oneplus 10 Pro, they have released the much-awaited patch, which promises of fixing all the issues along with the latest security patch i.e, the January 2022 Security Patch.

Release date: the update was released on 21st January 2022

In particular, the update brings a lot of optimization & additions for Oneplus 9, the changes included in the following areas of the device software: System, Dark mode, Shelf, Work-Life Balance, Gallery, Canvas AOD, Camera & Network.

The previous update [C.40 Build] had brought Hotfix which promised on resolving all the bugs & issues along with the December 2021 Security Patch, but unfortunately, the update hadn’t resolved many issues & only had the users with bad user experience.

Why did few users didn’t receive Android 12 with OxygenOS 12?

-As per the community, plenty of users haven’t received the major update yet, the problem we assume is they had a rough start filled with a ton of bugs & issues throughout the Android 12 journey resulting in multiple pauses in the wide rollout of the OTA update, which resulted in few devices running on OxygenOS 11 still.

-What we think is as they are still fixing the Android 12 issues & bugs, We assume the stable OTA to roll out soon to all users once the majority of the issues are resolved.
