Google officially announced Android 12 and dropped the source code to AOSP. However, Pixels are yet to receive the final Android 12 version which is likely to arrive on October 19, when the company will launch its next-generation Pixel phones — Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
Android 12 is the most advanced version of Android from Google in years. The company brought Material You that lets users influence the design of their operating system without the need for any third-party apps.
Besides, it also has redesigned widgets, advanced security with a privacy dashboard, fluid animations, and much more. Moreover, Google is also making its native applications adopt Material You look.
With the announcement of AOSP, the company also stated that this version will soon be coming to non-Google devices including Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme, Vivo, and more later this year.
